It’s nice to meet you!
A proud lifelong New Englander and Quincy resident for over a decade.
I grew up in Rutland, Vermont raised by an incredible single mom and large extended family. I attended public school throughout my childhood, and graduated from Rutland High School in 2003.
I pursued Vocal Music Education at the University of Maine where I graduated in 2007. Shortly thereafter, I relocated to Massachusetts and started my career as a chorus teacher on the south shore. While teaching full-time, I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching from Bridgewater State University in 2019.
Though I’m no longer in the classroom, I keep my singing voice active as a member of the Quincy Choral Society and soprano section leader at the Old Ship Church in Hingham.
I reside in ward 4 with my husband, Steve, whom I met in elementary school, and our cat, Lucy, whom I fostered when I volunteered with the Quincy Animal Shelter in 2015.
Outside of work you can often find us taking a yoga class at the Y, borrowing a book from the Thomas Crane Library or exploring one of Quincy’s many beautiful green spaces.
When Steve and I decided it was time to move in together and start planting roots, he joined me in Quincy with intention. We wanted to build a home, not find a place to live. We chose a city with great public schools, accessible public transportation, and unique local traditions.
Despite having a population of over 100,000 people, Quincy’s coziness reminds us of the much smaller New England city where we were raised.
I am proud to call Quincy home.
